If you have scheduled an appointment to come in and view either our bridal or bridesmaid collections, here is a little information that may be helpful to know before you come in. We look forward to meeting you!
Why do I need an appointment?
We work exclusively by appointment because we are a small boutique, so we don't have the space for 'browsers' to share the space with our scheduled appointments. Please call or e-mail us to set up a time that is convenient for you! Saturday appointments tend to book up in advance, so if there is a specific date that you are interested in, please contact us at least a week ahead of time.
How long is my appointment?
We schedule one hour for each appointment. We understand parking and traffic can be unpredictable, so if you run a bit late for your appointment, it's o.k. However, we will not be able to extend your one hour appointment into the next person's time slot, so you will have a little less time.
Where is The Wedding Party located?
We are located at 2612 Alcatraz Avenue in Berkeley. Once you arrive at the corner of College Avenue and Alcatraz Avenue, you are here:
You will see a Peet's coffee shop on the corner; we are located above them (We are not visible on street level). Walk past the entrance to the coffee shop, on the Alcatraz side of the building. You will see a stairway going up, and at the top of the stairs there is a door and door code box. Punch in the posted code and we will buzz you in.

Is there parking?
You can find metered street parking on College Avenue and non-metered street parking on Alcatraz. The parking lot behind our building does not belong to us, but rather to the other business owners and employees of the numerous businesses in our building. They tow, so please don't be tempted!
Are you wheelchair accessible?
We are located on the second and third floor of an older, 1920's building in Berkeley. There are two modestly steep flights of stairs and no elevator, so unfortunately we are not wheelchair accessible.
How many friends can I bring?
Our bridal studio space accommodates 2-3 people comfortably, in addition to the bride. Our bridesmaid studio space can accommodate 4- 5 in addition to the bride, though we have had larger groups many times before. We also REALLY appreciate if your party can arrive together, even if they are just coming to watch you try on dresses.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, but we do have quite a few stairs, so please be advised we not child-proofed.
Can I bring my fiance?
Yes, of course!
What should I bring to my appointment?
You do not need to bring anything special to your first bridal appointment, though you can bring pictures of dresses you like from magazines or from our website. Some women like to bring foundation garments, like Spanx, or if you have a great strapless bra, it never hurts. We have plenty of shoes for you to try on in our studios, but you may bring your own, if you'd like. We suggest that you don't wear a sports bra. Other than that, you can come as you are.
What size gowns are available for me to try on?
Most of our bridal samples are sample sizes 8, 10 and 12, and they do run fairly true to street sizes. If you are smaller, we can clip you into the dress. We do not have a substantial selection of plus size wedding gowns to try on, since we have a relatively small collection to begin with. However, the gowns can mostly be ordered up to to size 24 (Nicole Miller is the exception, and can be ordered up to size 16.) Our bridesmaid dresses range in size from 0- 20, and can be ordered up to size 24.
If I have scheduled a bridal appointment, can I browse through the bridesmaids dresses at the same time?
No, we schedule separate appointments for each studio. The bridal studio is upstairs; the bridesmaids studio is downstairs. Oftentimes, we are double booked, so both studios are occupied. If you would like to look at both, please let us know when you call to schedule your appointment and we'll schedule you accordingly.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
We appreciate 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Do you allow pictures?
Yes, please feel free to bring a camera.
